Adriano Stefanutti's is a proud Italian from Friuli, Italy's North-Easternmost Region bordering Austria, Slovenia and the Adriatic Sea. Friuli is the land of Collio and Colli Orientali D.O.C.’s terroirs offering to the world astonishing native whites such as Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and Ramandolo, sweet wine such as Picolit and reds like Refosco, Schioppettino, Pignolo, Tazzelenghe but also of the “Macerati Friulani”, where the orange wines first started.

Adriano is a retired diplomat, a Food & Beverages Entrepreneur, a Sommelier Instructor, an Italian Wine Specialist and a Wine Writer.

Having arrived in the Philippines in 2010, he has dedicated this Wine Blog to all Filipinos who want to know more about wine, and Italian wine in particular.

He has been inspired, and still is, by Italian wine poets and wine philosophers such as Paolo Monelli, who started to tell his wine stories in 1923, Mario Soldati, a film director, Eno gastronomic journalist and wine blogger ante-litteram since 1957 and Luigi Veronelli, the founder of the Italian modern enogastronomy, wine whisperer, author of the first Italian Wine Guide in 1959 and Champion of Italy’s wine culture.

Veronelli, the “Bard”, taught Adriano that “wine, is earth’s song to the sky”…
